1. Intro to Meditation: Tuesday & Fridays @ 9:00-10:00, November 7 to December 1, Cost: $40 for all 8 sessions
In this 4-week, 8-session beginner course, you will learn to quiet your mind and reap the benefits of a meditation practice. No previous meditation experience is necessary. Tai Chi master Eduardo Gonzalez will lead the classes and teach you step-by-step. You’ll start out with short, guided meditations and eventually graduate to longer, self-directed meditations.
Research has shown that meditation can help preserve the aging brain, decrease depression and anxiety, help ease physical pain, improve concentration and attention, among other benefits.

2. BeerYoga: Saturday, November 18 @ 4:00-6:00pm, Cost: $8
For the first time in Cuenca, JungleGym and Nórdica Cervezerīa present BeerYoga! BeerYoga was started by two yoga teachers in Berlin and has quickly spread in popularity around the world. It takes the philosophies of yoga and pairs it with the pleasure of beer-drinking to reach your highest level of consciousness.
This 2-hour workshop includes 45-minutes of beginner yoga, a bottle of Nórdica beer, and a tasting of Nórdica’s beers. Additional bottles will be available for purchase.
